About
Hi, I'm Josh Zhou. I shoot film — mostly while traveling with my girlfriend Joanna. We go places, I bring too many rolls, and this site is where the results end up.
There's no real agenda here. Just the things that catch my eye: old towns, big skies, quiet mornings, the way light falls through a cathedral window. Film slows everything down enough to notice.
Gear
- Leica M3 — my main camera. Rangefinder, fully mechanical, built in the 1950s and still perfect.
- Nikon F3 — for when I want a meter and motor drive. Reliable in any weather.
Film
I mostly shoot Kodak Portra 400 for color and Kodak Tri-X 400 for black and white. Occasionally Fuji Pro 400H when I can find it, and CineStill 800T for night shooting.
This Site
Built with Astro and Tailwind CSS. Photos are organized by trip, style, and tone. The blog is where I write about the trips behind the photos — usually once a month, when I get around to it.
